I. job summary:

As process engineer you take care of all engineering and supporting needs of a certain area in production. The job requires a wide spectrum of tasks and responsibilities from developing manufacturing methods of new products to customer claims training for workers. As a process engineer you are always working together with production team on how to improve quality and efficiency of the productions and support the implementation of international standards and principles like ISO and Rittal production System and 5s.

II. duties and responsibilities:

·Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and fabrication processes for old and new products;

·Represent the Department or Company in meetings with internal and external suppliers and customers;

·Setup, analyze and control reporting system for his/her area of responsibility (like Quality, output, Downtimes etc.);

·Design, implementation and maintenance of tooling, measuring tools, fixtures and jigs for production;

·Assists maintenance in problem solving of manufacturing equipment;

·Lead or participate in continuous improvement activities to achieve a World Class manufacturing environment through support of Rittal Production System (RPS), lean and 5S methodologies;

·Assist in measuring production times for routing and costing;

·Continuously improve results of internal and external process and process status audits;

·Continuously improve internal (scrap and rework) and external (customer claims) failure rate;

·Lead team meetings and trainings for his/her area of responsibility to improve quality and efficiency;

·Maintain personal Action Tracker and update weekly and report to activities to his manager;

·Other duties as assigned.

III. qualifications:

Mental Requirements:

Work in a fast paced environment, adapt to assignment changes easily, ability to multi-task, learn office procedures and learn to use new software. Must be detailed oriented and have a “get things done” mentality; communicate effectively via oral and written with all levels of employees, vendors and customers in Chinese and English, be able to work for and with foreign colleagues and superiors.

Knowledge & Experience:

Minimum 3-year degree in Engineering. 3-5 years work experience with similar tasks as stated under “primary activities/duties”, experiences in sheet metal production, welding, sheet metal bending and punching processes are preferred. Must have AutoCAD and/or Pro-E software experience. Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office products is required. SAP and CNC programming experience is a plus.

Requires long durations on the manufacturing floor and/or long durations in the office at a computer. Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 kg to waist level.
