I. job summary:

As a TPM Engineer you develop and maintain the TPM system at REMT. Constant monitoring of machine data, weakness analysis, improvement workshops and constant update of the preventative maintenance is you daily business. Everyday to talk with production operators, IE Engineers and the planning department to get information about machine and to balance between the needs of maintenance and production.

II. duties and responsibilities: (list the daily tasks)

· Develop and maintain TPM system in the Rittal production according to the Rittal Production System

· Collect and analyze machine break down data and define proper actions to reduce machine breakdowns

· Calculate machine performance figures and report them to the management

· Update and maintain maintenance plans

· Lead and organize improvement activities

· Train workers in maintenance tasks

· Plan maintenance tasks of the maintenance according to weekly, monthly, quarterly etc schedules of the

· Participate in team meetings with team leaders and workers to define actions and learn about machine problems

· Other duties as assigned

III. qualifications:

Mental Requirements:

Work in a fast paced environment, adapt to assignment changes easily, ability to multi-task, learn office procedures and learn and use new software. Must be detailed oriented and have a "get things done" mentality; communicate effectively via oral and written with all levels of employees, in Chinese and English, be able to work for and with foreign colleagues and superiors. Muss understand technical complex machine manuals and maintenance plans written in english as most machines come from overseas.

Knowledge & Experience:

Minimum 3-year degree in Engineering. 2-3 years work experience as stated under "primary activities/duties". Previous experiences in sheet metal production, welding, sheet metal bending and punching processes are preferred. Strong mechanical know how in maintenance department or similar departments are needed, preferably worked as a maintenance engineer. Must know how to calculate machine performance figures and must have strong analysis as well as problem solving skills. Must have strong Microsoft office skills specially Excel and preferably Access.

Know how Maintenance PM Software is a plus. Good English is a must as most machine documentation is in English and communication with other Rittal plants as well.

Requires long durations on the manufacturing floor and/or long durations in the office at a computer. Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 kg to waist level.
