JOB TITLE

Senior Technical Support Specialist

DIRECT REPORT (JOB TITLE)

Technical Service Manager


1. Position Summary: What is the main purpose of this job? Why does it exist? (e.g., to create marketing strategies; to develop, support and grow Compliance awareness etc.) Please summarize in two to three sentences.

- To provide technical support and technical support for SI products with the cross functional departments, SBU, China sales and marketing

- To provide the technical support for SI products for TW/HK region.

2. Principal Accountabilities: What are the key responsibilities of this job? List the what, how and why of each responsibility and provide examples, as necessary. Use specific verbs of action, such as “manages”, “operates”, “analyzes”, “designs”, etc. Indicate three to five accountabilities in descending order of importance and approximate % of time spent on each.


  • Monitoring and driving the technical/service performance of the depot/field service for the CVG products (spare parts stock, test tools available, do PMV as request, respond time, TAT, and etc.) to make sure distributor/3rd party service quality meet company required

  • Carry on installation, repair and maintenance work on workshop and customer site with efficiency and professional way.

  • Build a positive relationship with Intl.&Ext. customers.

  • Achieve high customer satisfactory for the account products.

  • Provide end user, distributors or 3rd party with service and technical support via phone, email or onsite

  • Provide technical and service training as demands.

  • Provide technical and service support to internal other function team (BU , RA and Marketing dept...).

  • Assist to ensure installation record and other required docs provided by distributors/sales timely

  • Be responsible to support technical service management system, including of updating information about service tickets, time tracking tools , etc

  • Establish good communication and obtain up-to-date technical support from GBU Service Centre.

  • Assist to follow up and implement the assigned tasks.


3. Experience: What unique knowledge are needed to successfully perform the job and what would you consider most skills are most desirable (e.g., sales experience, ability to operate within a marketplace that is complex, management skills etc), years of experience.


  • At least 3 years of healthcare technical service experience or equivalent

  • Have 3 year Medical Devices technical service experience

  • Fully college knowledge of medical device

  • Good communication skill

  • Skills in technical measurement using standard technical tools, such as digital meter, oscilloscope, etc

  • Effective verbal and written communication skill

  • Demonstrate superior workmanship, quantity, and quality in all work areas

  • Good English reading skill for service manual

  • With team work spirit

  • Open-minded, self-motivated;

  • Positive and active work attitude;

  • Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)

4. Education (specific educational requirement or technical training, multi-language, Global, computer knowledge, etc)

- Graduated from medical college on biomedical engineering, Electrical or equivalent


5. Job Competencies: What competencies are needed to successfully perform the job (business Acumen, Negotiation Skills, etc)


  • Project management experience and skill preferred.

  • Fluent Spoken and writing skillset.
