Essential Responsibilities

The Interventional Engineering Service Engineer will work with a cross-functional program team to deliver value products for the global market. The position is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of service product features, technical publications, training, global parts availability, and service process validation. The position provides exposure to the entire system and requires communication with all functions in the organization and will be involved in the full life cycle of the product from definition to verification/validation and installed base support. Duties include (but are not limited to): • Defining procedures for field modifications, calibrations, and part replacements • Owning product and subsystem requirements related to serviceability and diagnosis • Setting FRU strategies and interfacing with external organizations such as GPRS and Service Operations • Maintaining effective quality systems compliant with GE Quality policies and Six Sigma standards

Qualifications/Requirements

1. Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field; or equivalent 2. 5 years relative work experience3. Demonstrated technical domain knowledge by being current on engineering design principles, architectures and advancements in clinical and engineering concepts and technologies4. Demonstrated problem-solving techniques5. Demonstrated ability to make recommendations to technical and program leadership to improve the product, process or technology6. Effective communication skills and boundaryless behavior—ability to present ideas clearly and concisely7. Demonstrated organizational, functional, and leadership expertise to lead a small team on a project, sub-system or platform initiative

Desired Characteristics

1. Experience working in a Service or Systems Engineering team.2. Strong analytical, trouble-shooting skills3. Ability to work independently4. Customer orientation: self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and learn quickly5. Customer focused: strong interpersonal skills, ability to listen to customer, build relationships, and work under pressure6. Hands-on approach with regards to installations, upgrades and repairs7. Diagnostic imaging device working experience, MRI experience is highly prefered8. Design For Service (DFS) experience 9. Candidate to have very strong customer focus
