As an R&D Engineer-Main Circuit, you will be part of the Robotics and Motion (RM) Division and Drives (BU) Business unit, based in Beijing. ABB is the World leader in Robotics and Motion (RM) division offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

？ Responsible for creating and/or update power electronics and schematics design for Motion Control product development to meet technical requirements and cost target.
？ Responsible for system design, design plan and design verification in development phase, including functional, EMC, environmental tests, etc.
？ Coach the other design team member.
？ Technical task management and ensure project progress.
？ Focus on power electronic components study, e.g. IGBT, caps, inductive, etc.
？ Work with ABB China Corporate Research Center and participate or lead collaboration projects.
？ Work with cross functional team members.

Must to Have:

？ Master’s degree, major in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering or similar field.
？ 5+ years of Experience as Power Electronics Engineer.
？ Comprehensive understanding of Power Electronics, Electrical circuits and Electromagnetic theories (EMC), including IGBT module, gate driver, power chokes, Aluminum capacitors, SMPS.
？ Expert in System Design for Motor Drive System or similar industrial product from concept to mass-production.
？ Able to perform root cause analysis systematically and Skills of using tools such as Simulink, Pspice, Saber, Mathcad.
？ Good communication skills in both Chinese and English.
？ Willing to take challenges, to learn, open minded and willing to share knowledge with the team.
？ Show initiative, work systematically and goal-oriented.

(Good to have):

？ Understanding on Electronics product DFM (Design for manufacturing), Electronics production process and test.
？ Experience in Project Coordination and Task Management.
？ Expert on Functional Safety design and test.
？ Knowledge on international standards and certification, preferably drive product related standards, EMC, LVD, UL.
？ Work or study experience aboard or in an international company.
