Job Description:

1.  Implement a tourism marketing plan for sales model visa applications across China; working closely with Travel Agents, Corporates, Hotels, Airline companies and Media agencies

2. Oversee the creative communication content, requirement and development; benefiting the lead generation and market penetration

3. Execute new research-based advertising strategies for current and subsequent years that will increase company’s market share.

4. Develop relationships with national and regional tourism based publications and writers, tours operators and travel agents

5. Prepare and release press kit to media; build campaigns and stories for unique selling points

6. Design, develop and conduct familiarization tours of sales based Visa applications market for media, event planning, tour operators and travel agents.

7. Social media and market intelligence inputs to the management and highlight red flags

8. Provide education program for hotel personnel on attractions/events

9. Attend meeting, seminars, conventions, and workshops to further knowledge, stay informed of the changes in the tourism industry, and exchange information.

10. Effective product management to suit the interested parties requirements

11. Prepare and deliver presentations to both local and regional civic and governmental organizations on Tourism.

12. Design, develop and implement in-service training programs for staff with the help of internal Learning and development department

13. The successful candidate must be capable of exercising independent judgment, discretion and initiative while utilizing tact and courtesy in frequent contact with business and industrial representatives, government officials and the general public.

 

Knowledge and skills required:

1. Speak/ Read/ Write: English and Mandarin (must) – Chinese national preferred however not mandatory

2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in tourism sector (Thai tourism preferred) with experience in China outbound tourism

3. Self-starter with ability to work with volunteers irrespective of the team directly reporting. Desired candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and oral communication

4. Computer literacy in terms of MS Office usage , website research, social media, market intelligence and overall budgeting

5. Hold valid international passport and ready to travel

6. Experience in marketing presentations especially at community events/ corporates/ travel agent fraternity/ hotels and airlines

7. Experience in the Implementation of Marketing Plan

8. Effective in planning, organizing, and communicating with the interested parties and colleagues
