Senior Windows client consultant

Your responsibilities as Senior Consultant

You have a strong consultancy mindset, you are flexible and have the ability to plan and execute your own tasks. You value proper documentation and pride yourself on a secure and well-documented handover of the solution to your colleagues in the operations team.

Projects vary from minor adjustments on existing environments to designing new large enterprise solutions.

You will work with a variety of tasks and your responsibilities will include:

• Working on smaller assignments with full costumer contact and as part of a team on larger projects collaborating with architects from the client, project managers and other stakeholders.
• Implementing the right solution through dialog with the customer and ensure proper handover to our operations unit.
• You will act as a sparring partner for our colleagues in operations with focus on optimizing and troubleshooting.
• You are responsible for implementing solutions with the right level of documentation in order to comply with the required compliance level, whether it is within the public or pharmaceutical sector.
• Furthermore, you will take responsibility of managing external consultants on assignments, where their contributions are included in the delivery.

The team is part of IT Operations Services responsible for everything from infrastructure and applications to complete orchestration and support of our customers’ IT solutions. Our work processes are based on best practice and our procedures follow ITIL standards (IT Infrastructure Library).

Your qualifications and experience

The ideal candidate has an educational background within computer science, engineering or similar combined with at least 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Windows clients and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.

You are required to have in-depth knowledge of these Microsoft technologies:

• Windows 7, 8 or 10 operating system

• Configuration Manager (2012 R2 or current branch)

It will be plus if you have experience and knowledge within :

• Windows upgrade projects

• PowerShell/VBS scripting

• Intune

• Active Directory

• Group Policy settings

• Windows server 2008/2012

• Microsoft Hyper-V

• Networking

• Storage

Experience with Windows 10 deployment projects, certificates and network security is an advantage.

As a person you like to keep yourself updated about new technologies - especially in technologies from Microsoft. You have strong communication skills and are fluent in spoken and written English.
