Job Purpose Statement:

As Vans continues to enable exploration through its product and innovation, the project team is responsible for doing the same for our consumer’s in-store experience. The store designer will focus on the concept, development, and execution of both Vans owned retail and dealer, stand-alone shops, and brand events (Sales Meetings, Tradeshows, etc). With a focus on the China, this desinger will work closely with local agencies, internal, and APAC teams to adopt, adapt, and invent store design environments for China.

Key Area of Responsibility:

· Vans SAS Stores, SIS, Outlets, etc.

_ Provide design & construction plans, liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure all Vans doors are built to meeting required standards

_ Support new open or renovated new store with VM set up and training to dealer and frontline stuff, monitor construction quality, to in charge the overall store image and quality

_ Communicate with dealers, landlords, department stores, shopping malls etc when building Vans doors

_ Manage all execution points to result in a premium store environment

_ Operate and execute within fast-paced timelines

· Retail Concept Development/ Guideline

_ Fully support line manager and work closely with agencies and vendors

_ Improved and new concept development for (but not limited to), Vans SAS, SIS, Outlets Sales Meeting, and temporary shops

_ Create guidelines for all store types and channels (Wholesale and Retail)

_ Pilot store project to make sure all updated image can bring to life in stores.

· Training

_ New dealers training for Store Construction Quality Control.

_ Internal training for project team member

_ Out-Source Designer/Construction (Vendor) Training/ Scoring for Store Design System.

· Internal Communications

_ Maintain close communications with Vans Sales and Retail Teams to ensure store opening & renovation plan are met, with proper time & cost control communicated to teammates to ensure set goals & time expectations are synchronized

_ Work closely with VM team in developing efficient fixture / tools for retail presentation of key and functional product

_ Within the CN MKT to ensure event designs are met with design, quality, cost & time control

Requirements:

Degree holder of Architecture or Interior Design, or relevant working experiences;

Required Professional Qualification:

· Relevant academic & work experiences

· Construction project quality management

· Agency control experience

Required Special Skills:

All store & event design software programs, such as AutoCAD, 3Dmax, photo shop, and efficient in Microsoft office applications;
