Role Summary/Purpose

Responsible for executing Life Sciences application support programs to demonstrate customer value of GE Healthcare Life Sciences products and support them in their application challenges like end-to-end solution, application development and tech transfer. Work closely with marketing team, product manager teams, and regional field leaders to deliver GE’s value for customers.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Quickly establish credibility with the customers in life Sciences space. 2. Identifying, soliciting and securing application development collaborations with customers. Conducting Experimental work on customer projects. Delivering final reports on experimental work performed for internal and external customers. 3. Understand marketing trends and work closely with cross-functional team to support customers with expert advice. 4. Support GE in maintaining scientific leadership by designing and delivering creative solutions to customer’s manufacturing and analytical challenges. 5. Add value to GE’s customers by identifying continuous improvement opportunities in their R&D, bio-processes and implementing innovative process enhancements.

Qualifications/Requirements

1. Masters or PhD in biochemistry, cell biology, biotechnolgy, Life Sciencess, chemical engineering or similar. >3 year experience in cell culture, biopharmacia or similar field.2. Practical, hands-on, industrial experience and theoretical knowledge of the basic techniques used for upstream bioreactor operation or downstream purification of biopharmaceuticals (filtration, chromatography, centrifugation, etc.) at pilot or process scale. Good understanding of the basics of process economy. 3. Demosntrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple project simultaenously, in a cross-functional team in an international enviorment4. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. 5. Proven excellence in communication, presentation and facilitation skills in English and Chinese. 6. Socially competent to handle sensitive customer relationships.1. Experience with biotech R&D or manufacturing.2. Enthusiastic, optimistic, self-motivated achiever. 3. Reliable and thorough person who always delivers on promises and always promises realistically. 4. Good organizational skills.
