As a Civil Supplier Quality Engineer for Rolls-Royce, you’ll ensure quality of supplied product or service meets regulatory, contractual and customer requirements through effective product verification, containment, problem resolution and improvement activities with the supplier.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through 8D Problem Resolution process; Assist problem solving/corrective action teams by cross functional coordination.
• Analyse data and information on allocated suppliers’ performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead the quality related audit, train and coach suppliers to improve aspects of their business performance e.g. SABRe compliance and / or where appropriate (e.g. in a Rolls-Royce Gas Turbines CFBU / Plant)
• Effectively manage undeclared non-conformance containment activity within Rolls-Royce, repair bases, customer operations and storage locations.
• Provide oversight and governance to ensure product integrity / approval related tasks are in-line with regulatory, customer and Quality functional requirements.

Verify supplier compliance via suitable audit and process assessments (when within personal authorization)

Requirements

• You will be degree qualified or equivalent together with minimum 4 year experience of working in a Quality and or Manufacturing role.

• You will have experience of root cause analysis, problem solving / 8D investigation methods and process improvement techniques.

• You will have experience in terms of containment activities and be able to provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.

• Your experience of running Kaizen events, understanding of Advance Product Quality planning (Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA) and Control Plans with the ability to coach others on practical application of these tools.

Experience working within the supply chain would be beneficial, but not essential.
