职位描述

Department/Group Description:       This position will be part of the Supply Chain Trade   Management team that manages the flow of information and product for multiple   TWDC businesses; optimizing costs and resources while meeting trade compliance   policy requirements.    Manager leads the   management of local supply chain security programs (AEO/PIP, ISA), supports   duty avoidance programs (First Sale, FTA, etc), maintains local Consumer   Products’ import compliance management and address risk management through   periodic assessments, training, and broker/vendor compliance.            

Responsibilities of the Role:

Key responsibilities include:

·Serve as primary liaison with appropriate government agencies responsible for import/export (Customs/CIQ/3Cs).

·Responsible for identifying benefits through tariff strategies, utilization of free trade agreements, and other available trade programs for functions related to tariff classification and country of origin.

·The Manager will be directly responsible for the APAC ISA program to include annual self-testing, process improvements and training to all relevant teams such as; Sourcing, Supply Chain Logistics, Warehouse, 3rd party Provider, etc.

·Manage duty recovery and avoidance programs, such as First Sale vendor relationships, returned goods, duty drawback and others to ensure optimal benefits, while limiting company risk.

·Responsible for driving import/export compliance process improvements.

·Develop, implement and maintain import/export compliance procedures.

·Work with legal department to obtain advice on complex legal issues.

·Provide feedback to inbound logistics on third party customs brokers to ensure they are complying with regulatory controls on entry and maintaining cost efficient services.

·Provide direction and advice to local Customs Broker on the classification of product, where applicable.

·Manage broker compliance, quarterly process audits and reporting

·Manage vendor compliance for supply chain security program, First Sale program, and classification program. · Advise the Director of Trade Management of key issues, new and potential problems, including notices, penalties and other inquiries by Customs and/or other government agencies.

·Partner with departments (i.e. tax and finance, procurement, sourcing, & product integrity) to establish strategic measures in optimizing business operations in line with corporate regulatory policy.

·Assist in the assurance that transactions are executed in compliance with all applicable regional laws and regulations.

·Progress trade system solutions for real-time supplier/customer screening and classifications (as applicable).

·Where additional controls are needed, work with the operations and leadership of the area to develop and implement the necessary internal controls.

·Manager supports the management of supply chain security programs (C-TPAT, ISA), duty avoidance programs (First Sale)

  

Hiring Requirements:

Minimum of 5-7 years experience in a similar position at global company (importer)  Preferred MS, MBA degree: International Business, Global Trade Compliance, Business Administration or related discipline

                             

EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS/ TRAINING: 

  • Familiarity with regional customs ports and other government agency requirements.
  • Working knowledge of regional Customs Regulations: Incoterms, APAC Free Trade Agreement landscape, APAC Tariff schedule (specifically China, Hong Kong & Japan)
  • General understanding of regional import certification/documentation requirements (i.e. China’s CCC certification and CIQ).
  • Export Compliance Certification, Export classification experience, Agility or Six Segma expertise Working knowledge of a Global Trade Management system is a plus
  • Advanced English and Mandarin language mandatory
  • Self-starter - Capable of planning and managing own work
  • Open-minded - Flexible and creative approach to problem solving; good analytical skills; excellent risk mitigation capability
  • Customer satisfaction focused – pro-active attitude; ability to sort urgencies and escalate priorities Excellent interpersonal skills - team work; ability to work with cross-functional teams; ability to communicate at all levels
  • Excellent computer skills – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Proven written and oral communications skills; strong interpersonal skills with experience working with diverse teams (brokers, vendors, IT, Legal, Finance and Business Clients) Licenses / Training (e.g. professional certifications)
