Position Title:            Pre-Commissioning Engineer

Location:                    Shekou Office, China

Reports To:                Pre-Commissioning Lead Engineer

Duration:                   2 years contract

Start date:                 End of Q1, 2019

Responsibilities

• Review and validate EPCI Contractor's proposed methodologies and equipment to pre-commission and commission field systems ensuring compliance with project specifications and procedures. Attend and contribute to project risk assessments, HAZIDs and audits.
• Provide oversight to ensure that the EPCI contractor executes subsea facility pre-commissioning activities in accordance with agreed project procedures and methods. This will include onshore preparations and equipment testing prior to mobilization.
• Support field teams with technical advice during the offshore pre-commissioning programs.
• Prepare a dossier of certificates, completed task plans and a valve position register for final presentation to authorities and operations team.
• Ensure that collation of documentation is maintained throughout the offshore program and verify accuracy of final documentation and as-built drawings.
• Promote Company’s safety culture and expectations to all teams on site and monitor performance. Investigate accidents/incidents in line with Company procedures
• Monitor Contractor's handling and storage of Company Supplied Items (CPI) and assets

Requirement

• A minimum of 10 years' experience within the Oil & Gas / Petro-chemical industry, particularly related to the design, fabrication and installation of offshore deepwater production facilities.
• Knowledgeable in the design, function and operation of subsea connector systems
• Conversant with associated procedures, methods and techniques.
• Having worked in an environment of multi lingual/cultural workforce.
• Held a senior role(s) in international deepwater offshore installation/construction projects.
• Knowledge of up to date Risk Management practices
• Provide leadership and team working skills.
• Have a good reporting history with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Conversant with Microsoft Office and Coreworx applications.
