POSITION TITLE
Associate Director, Marketing Effectiveness Practice
(candidate with less experience will be considered for Senior Manager)
LOCATION
Guangzhou
THE POSITION
The Associate Director / Senior Manager will manage a team of Analysts to deliver campaign evaluation and marketing effectiveness related solution to multi industries client (e.g. TMT/Auto)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Client Management -- Provide an on-going plan to develop relationship that can
get activated within clients on a daily basis. Identify stakeholders, schedule meetings, set
objectives, deliver analytics and insights. Ensure delivered work is insightful, simple, easy
to understand and action focused.
- Client Needs -- Fully understand client needs, understand key client decision makers and
influencers across the organization, including Research/Insights, Media and
Brand/Marketing. Prioritize client needs.
- Products -- Fully understand Nielsen Ad Solutions product. Identify relevant solutions for
largest client pain points. Identify potential connection points across Nielsen products and
services and how they might work in concert. Advocate with different business units for
new solutions to address unmet client needs on marketing communication.
- Expanding relationship - Work with clients to propose highest impact solutions against
their key pain points. Demonstrate how products and services will benefit clients by
building brand equity and Marketing ROI.
- Nielsen Partners: Partner with Product Leads, Client Business Partners, Product
Specialists to bring their expertise to bear on key client pain points. Act as integrating point
between client and media product leads. Ensure that product lead partners are focused on
client needs first, and how to address these.
- People Engagement and Development: Act as coach, guide and mentor to team members. Provide support, recognition and feedback to assist associates towards achieving the performance expectations and standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree holder with major in marketing/psychology or relevant subject
- At least 8 years media planning and market research experience in media agency/market research firm/client side
- A mix of customized research and media background is more desirable
- Outstanding analytical and strategic thinking skills, ability to understand client needs and translate these to solutions
- Good presentation skill, excellent ability to influence and collaborate with others
- Understand branding , marketing, has familiarity with research and complex statistical tools, where he/she has demonstrated mastery of client relation is plus
- Consultative and relationship development skill - experience in managing and developing
client relationships, especially in expanding business with existing customer through
proven value
- Good English both oral and written
- Self motivated with high level of discipline, “can-do” attitude.
