As 6 Sigma Black Belt at PSEW (Perkins Shibaura Engines Wuxi, part of Caterpillar Industrial Power Systems Division) you will have a significant impact on the success of this business. Your project management skills will provide you the opportunity to to make PSEW a safer place to work, improve the company's ability to meet customer expectations, improve quality, reduce cycle times and increase profits.

The role consists mainly of 4 parts:
Leading projects as 6 Sigma BB to improve all business processes where required
Responsible for the coordination of all CPS activities within PSEW, ultimately accountable for the CPS assessment score
Prioritization and management of the portfolio of improvement projects within PSEW
Member of the PSEW leadership team, reporting directly to the facility manager, with shared responsibility of the business results

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to;
Leading moderately complex projects to improve critical business processes that drive financial results including developing project plans and business cases
Recruiting, training and leading project team members
Leading projects where the subject focus and solutions are moderately complex in nature, availability, and attainability
Identifying opportunities, defining and financially justifying projects, launching project teams, using good project management to manage team activities, leading teams to execute projects, tracking project status and results, removing and elevating project barriers, and developing team members
Integrating issues with other projects/processes and coordinating the improvements with the appropriate project/process owners to accomplish the project goals, other business activities and business strategy
Managing the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring the degree to which the project goals, objectives and metrics are being met
Communicating progress of projects with appropriate leadership and teams
Managing risk and ambiguity on a project while driving results through change
Being responsible for and reporting out metrics, with improvement plans
Being able to create a future vision, and support this with a MGPP
Training and leading of Value Stream Transformation teams and 6 Sigma Rapid Improvement Workshops
Must be a results oriented change agent who is proficient in the use of CPS tools and methodologies. Must be willing and able to effectively coach, teach and develop.



Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree, preferably in Engineering or Business (or equivalent) or more than 3 years of professional level experience
Prior supervisory experience
Project management skills, team leadership skills, and good communication skills
Knowledge of other functions that provide inputs regularly, i.e., Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Accounting, Human Resources, and Operations
Must have the ability to learn and do statistical analysis
Basic computer skills
Good verbal and written English skills
