POSITION SUMMARY:

    

The merchandiser is responsible for buying and allocation of products; is responsible for developing and managing the category strategy, assortment plans, China product development, retail price management, seasonal merchandise plans and achievement of the financial objective; is responsible for maximizing the productivity of inventory and maximizing sales and gross margin in execution of the brand strategy.

    

    

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    

Financial:

• Works with retail, wholesale sales and ecommerce team partner to monitor overall inventory levels and sales to plan and forecast.
• Identifies and evaluated any opportunity at ident level.
• Works closely with Merchandising Supervisor to develop and manage financial plans.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of sales and inventory analysis at the regions and category level.
• Act as item data and system subject matter expert for assigned product categories; ensure data integrity through validation of information for consistency and accuracy.

                        

Buying:

• Ensures accurate and timely completion of orders at the division and class level.
• Provides ongoing feedback and information to team members on sales results, competitive practices, and delivery issues with HQ and vendors, and other specific information which could impact the performance of the business.

            

Inventory Management:

• Establishes and maintains intensive key item, key category, and key location focus.
• Monitors and forecasts inventory levels at regions and location level.
• Establishes and maintains assortment plan pipeline by determining order quantities and placing order with HQ / suppliers.
• Buys merchandise for each channels / regions / locations based on model stock and trends to achieve optimal sales, profit and inventory performance.
• Identifies slow and best sellers in inventory, and respond to maximize sales and minimize risks.
• Partner with retail, wholesale and ecommerce team on assortment strategy and ensure execution with stores.
• Ensures all merchandising targets are met, including turnover, sell thru, SKU productivity and SKU counts.

                                

Merchandise Strategy:

• Manages the proper execution of strategy at channel and location level with partnership with retail, wholesale and ecommerce team; takes appropriate action when necessary.
• Develops product transition plan and promotion strategies at channel and category / collection level.
• Monitor performance on new products and give on-going feedback to the team
• Evaluates ongoing performance with Merchandising Supervisor and key members of other departments and take action as appropriate.

                    

    

    

Logistic:

    

• Ensures that product moves efficiently through the supply chain.
• Partner with warehouse team to ensure the efficiency of stock movement progress as well as the proper condition of merchandise storage in warehouse.
• Partner with marketing team on any assistance relating to logistic to support marketing event as well as merchandise sample review.
• Partner with the Marketing and VM team to maximize impact of novelty Launch.

                

    

Domestic Partner Relations:

    

• Develops and maintains effective working partnership with retail, wholesale and ecommerce team, while ensuring all channels execute category strategy appropriately.
• Drives decision-making and problem solving on at the merchandise issues.
• Ensures team results, relationships and processes are aligned with Richemont mission and values.
• Ensures efficiency and effectiveness of all related work processes.

Qualifications:

    

• Degree holder in business administration, merchandising, planning.
• At least 2-3 years’ experience in merchandising / planning;
