Essential Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:

• Obtain domain knowledge on routine controllership matters, including rev rec policies, POS deals price allocation, price cap calculation, separate deliverables accounting treatment, maintaining close relationship with variety supporting functions (OTR, commercial operation, etc.) to secure proper control in place
• Develop commercial acumen to be able to proactively detect risks and root courses, as well as propose adequate solutions
• Provide necessary support to regular closing validation practice, including but not limited to SRD monitoring, storage review, partial review, etc.
• Facilitate and participate internal reviews on variety commercial initiatives (eg. dealer incentive programs), supporting EQT & SVC controllers to establish control and/or monitoring mechanism, understand accounting impact and communicate with relevant functions along the process
• Support regular order/revenue quality control mechanism, including but not limited to order quality review, pending installation review, SRD & storage review, defer revenue deep dive, policy 5.6/6.0 review, deal change review, etc.
• Support global controllership initiatives and projects and other ad. Hoc tasks
Role Summary/Purpose
The assistant controller provides daily support to EQT & SVC commercial controllers on revenue recognition related operation, accounting and order/revenue quality monitoring processes. The commercial controllership analyst working scope covers all modalities in GEHC Great China (both equipment and service, Mainland + Hongkong + Taiwan)
Qualifications/Requirements
Quality Specific Goals:

1. Aware of and comply with all GEHC commercial controllership policies
2. Complete all planned controllership activities within the defined deadlines
3. Timely identify and report any controllership or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or other business related field and no less than 2 years progressive accounting or finance experience; OR high school diploma / GED and 8 years accounting or finance experience
2. Basic knowledge in U.S. GAAP, local GAAP and authoritative accounting literature (i.e. FASB pronouncements)

Preferred Qualifications:

1. MBA or FMP graduated
2. Strong controllership mindset
3. Quick learner, be good at obtaining commercial acumen
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
5. Solid analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
6. Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas
7. Self-motivated in tough environment, be patient to keep stable in the position, able to work under pressure and always deliver qualified result on timely manner
