Essential Responsibilities
•Lead market trend analysis, external benchmarking, spend analysis, supplier rationalization and development, supplier risk, performance and compliance monitoring, and ongoing supplier management and governance
•Lead the supplier selection, qualification, development, and overall supplier management, including drafting, managing and terminating contracts
•Execute regional cost reduction projects through contract negotiation, process changes, and implementation of sustainable cost controls, including collaboration with Finance to validate the impact of projects and contract negotiations to the general ledger
•Leverage technical/market expertise
•Create and enforce policies to drive/enable the commodity strategy, drive process improvement/simplification, and optimize Sourcing resources that deliver improved operational efficiency and/or enhance the value to the businesses
•Partner with deploy organization to ensure appropriate support, fulfillment and quality requirements meet business expectations
•Creation of price forecasts and internal figures to supply budget data for the region planning and reporting
•Identify and assess supplier capabilities; measure and manage supplier performance
•Collaborate and influence stakeholders and peers to develop and Commodity strategy
•Lead responsible for the commodity regional reporting of savings within the official GE tools
Role Summary/Purpose
The APAC towers Global Commodity Leader is responsible to define and implement the sourcing strategy of the towers for onshore and offshore wind APAC region with an annual spend of ~$320MM. Need to have controllership on cost that aligns to the overall business sourcing strategy reporting to the Tower COE (Center of Excellence).
Qualifications/Requirements
•Candidate must have a relevant Bachelor’s or Master degree and minimum 9 years of professional experience within the areas of Sourcing or supply chain management, preferably from an international company
•Minimum experience within the Energy business of 3 years (Preference in the Wind Power industry)
•Excellent English skills both orally and in writing.
