Essential Responsibilities
• Deploy IT infrastructure solutions like LAN, WAN, VLAN, Storage and Voice across sites in the region as per GE CoreTech standards
• Liaison with GE CoreTech to deploy best in class IT infrastructure service to the regional users
• Ensures high performance and availability for the region - applications and networks
• Provide regional leadership across infrastructure partners during outages and crises & ensure speedy resolution and engagement of right resources
• Lead regional IT divestiture infrastructure/operations execution
• Liaison with regional Leaders, site managers to understand business CTQ's and growth plans to align IT initiatives and resource needs to support regional growth
• Proactively monitor and deploy regional business trends to drive cost reductions/savings in IT Operations/ Infra spend
• Provide technical project leadership to in-country teams for assigned digital projects
• Support the customer interactions, process analysis, requirements development, and discussions with product teams to win/execute large/complex digital solutions for internal and external customers in the region
• Serve as the IT focal point to external customers in the region, act as liaison between the customers and GET IT team, and provide IT technical support when needed
• Identify critical path decisions; make recommendations, and influence program leaders and business process owners to maximize project payback
• Develop and execute Regional IT Ops plans aligned with business objectives and set up management processes for continuous improvement
• Align with global program teams in the region and CoEs to support Regional programs with ERP and other application / integration implementations in the region
• Maintain peer relationships across IT and functional areas (services, engineering, digital solutions, etc.) to resolve customer issues/conflicts and ensure effective project implementations and deliveries
• Drive in-country digital project schedule aligned with global master program schedule
• Lead on-going IT customer support processes in the region and assist in the modification or establishment of these processes
• Keep abreast of enabling technologies and work as a partner to promote their effective use
Role Summary/Purpose
The Staff Infrastructure Architect will be part of the China, N&SEA IT, International IT and Global Digital Technology teams, with focus on regional IT infrastructure projects, business support and digital solutions deployment.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience at supporting IT tools/Technologies in an enterprise environment
• At least 2 years of experience with current information technologies and their implementation into the business function or delivery to external customer
• Good knowledge and understanding of IT Infrastructure components
• Domain depth on any specific Infrastructure component (Server, Network, Client, System Security, Data Safety, etc.)
• Experience managing/developing IT budgets
• Proven interpersonal, written/verbal communication and facilitation skills
• Previous large-scale project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Prior experience with divestiture IT due diligence and infrastructure separation/integration
• Strong analytical skills – proven track record of strong problem solving skills, ability to communicate in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluate information/data to make decisions; anticipate obstacles and develops plans to resolve
• Strong track record of understanding emerging technologies, adapting to best practices from across similar internal / external technical groups.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making ability

• Global/International experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead and drive change in a complex matrix environment
