The Diagnostic Engineering team is responsible for CPU, APU and dGPU IP functional, system, and stress diagnostics. We are seeking an experienced engineer to deliver diagnostics which test the industry leading high-performance display IP subsystem.

Key Responsibilities:

· Define display IP test strategy and comprehensive test plans with the IP design team

· Develop diagnostics software to bring-up and validate ASIC features on both pre-silicon (emulation) environments and post-silicon hardware

· Identify and help resolve ASIC, board and software stack issues to enable IP features, provide diagnostics support to external customers and internal engineering teams

· Deliver targeted stress tests for AMD System Level Test (SLT) manufacturing test

· Forward thinker to improve development processes, code quality and HW coverage, and drive innovation

Experience:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent

· Embedded software development experience in Linux driver or FW and proficient in C/C++ programming

· Strong mix of large-scale software development ability and hardware understanding

· Knowledge of display technologies (pixel processing, HDMI, DP, HDCP, FreeSync, HDR, high resolution displays, etc.) is desired

· Hands-on experience with HDMI/DP analyzer, ASIC bring up, etc. is an asset

· Strong debugging and testing skills

· Strong knowledge on x86 system architecture is preferred.

· Fluent communication skills in English
