Role Summary/Purpose

The Global Product Marketing Manager leads, coordinates and manages the execution of the global marketing plan for a given product segment/category/portfolio. Identifies opportunities for growth and market share gain. Creates a global product/portfolio strategy including product positioning and current portfolio evolution; installs base growth strategy and collaborates with regional marketing on lifecycle management strategy. Provides input to the new product/solutions roadmap development.


Essential Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): •Utilizes Gold Standard marketing practices and skills to develop and execute the marketing plan for a global product segment/category/portfolio. Responsibilities include VOC gathering, Marketing Blueprint development and collaboration, segmentation, targeting and positioning to align messaging, tactics, commercial channel tools and execution for success •Employs market research, clinical and industry trend analysis, market share and competitive analysis, win/loss tracking and price realization in developing global commercial strategy for a product segment/category/portfolio. •Key contributor to the Growth Playbook and SII with the goal of achieving growth and market share objectives. Collaborates with Product management leaders, regional sales and marketing to develop the orders forecast for the product segment and the segment marketing budget. •Understands customer’s clinical and economic needs, as well as values and benefits sought. Prioritizes customer segments and business opportunities and develops business cases in conjunction with strategic marketing, regional product marketing, product leaders and Business Analysis. •Develops the global marketing plan (portfolio management, marketing strategy, value proposition, positioning etc.) to grow global orders and share. Ensures regional marketing plans are aligned with the global marketing plan and collaborates with regional marketing on selecting the appropriate marketing mix. •Collaborates with Marketing Communications and PR to develop and execute global communication plans. Develops communication “assets” (collateral, images and training tools/courses) that can be deployed in the execution of regional communication plans. Responsible for capturing and reporting upon relevant metrics. •Works with Product leaders, Engineering, Business Analysis and Global Design to provide input to the product development roadmap and to develop, test and prototype new product ideas. •Owns Commercial plans for the global introduction of NPIs. Collaborates with Product leaders and Engineering on developing differentiation, defining product value propositions, collecting evidence of value and creating FDA claims. Works with Marketing Communications on developing positioning/messaging, tools and collateral for NPIs. Works closely with regional marketing on internal training, external launch events/announcements and sales campaigns. •Leads operating rhythm with the segment marketing team to ensure execution of marketing plans (collecting VOC – research, advisory boards, concept testing; communication and promotional plans – events; regional show site development), development of regional Key Opinion Leader relationships in collaboration with regional Marketing and dissemination of best practices and customer success globally. Quality Specific Goals: Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position 1.Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 2.Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required 3.Responsible for ensuring legal and regulatory approval of all marketing communications prior to external release


Qualifications/Requirements

1.Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field 2.Minimum 10 years experience in marketing, product marketing or related field 3.Leadership skills to lead teams and shape/lead growth vision and marketing strategy 4.Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, global and cross-functional teams 5.Influencing skills – ability to motivate individuals and demonstrate organizational influence 6.Prior experience in a leadership role with direct reports 7.Excellent oral and written communications skills 8.Strong analytical and process skills


Desired Characteristics

1.MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field 2.12+ years experience in marketing, product marketing or related field 3.Deep marketing expertise in market & customer insights, product commercialization and branding 4.Healthcare product/industry acumen 5.Experience managing a global brand 6.Innovation – develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas
