Company Summary:
OMEGA Engineering manufactures a line of more than 100,000 products used to measure temperature and humidity, flow and level, and pressure. Products include thermocouple probes and assemblies, pressure gauges and switches, and air velocity measurement systems. OMEGA also offers a complete line of data acquisition, automation, electric heating and custom engineered products for use in manufacturing, test and research environments. Summary:
The Application Sales Engineer position requires a customer service focused individual to assist customers with the selection of products and complete solutions. The primary focus of this position is on selling products and solutions and providing technical support over the telephone or onsite communication if necessary. In addition, this role requires creating quotations, entering orders, and responding to customers’ inquiries in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (shown below but not limited to the following)
?Identify customer needs, provide complete pre-sales solutions, and assist customers with the selections ofthe appropriate OMEGA products, which meet the needs of their applications
?Provide post-sales technical support and assist customers with product/application troubleshooting
?Create and provide quotations, enter customer orders, and respond to customer inquiries/requests in atimely manner
?Collaborate with internal cross functional members to investigate and resolve customer issues
?Maintain up-to-date product technical specifications by working with and updating product management onspecification changes
?Identify areas of growth for individual products, product segments and markets, and collaborate withmarketing, design, and sourcing functions
任职资格:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of five years’ experience in instrumentation and/or process control is desirable. Previous experience in selling and supporting technical products in a call center environment as well as experience with temperature and pressure measurement sensors and instruments is desirable.
Language Skills:
Reading, writing, and speaking English is required.
Computer Skills:
Experience using web based applications, ERP and CRM applications (previous experience with Infor Syteline
and Salesforce.com is desirable), and Microsoft Office.

? Demonstrated hands-on ability in analyzing, problem solving, and multi-tasking

? Working knowledge of international business environments and experience in cross-cultural communication
