POSITION SUMMARY

• To plan, organize and monitor the operations team on shipment arrangement to ensure a high quality level of service.

• Supervise the team in handling day-to-day customer service, operation and documentation activities.

• Guide and monitor the team in communicating with customers with effectiveness and professional manner.

• Responsible for cargo consolidation planning; booking space & equipments with carriers.

• Maintains all required reports; documentation, overtime duties, performance reviews through established process guidelines.

• Maintains close contact with customers, carriers and service providers with regard to market conditions affecting service levels.

• Ensure cost effectiveness of operations through established control of equipment, utilities and supplies.

• To maintain and constantly improve the business relationship with customers, carriers, shippers, booking agencies, customer brokers, warehouse, trucking companies or other relative vendors. 

•  Market data collection & pricing maintenance as required.

  

PRINCIPLE DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist operation manager work for cargo consolidation planning; booking space & equipments with carriers.

• Maintains required reports; documentation, overtime duties, performance reviews through established process guidelines of a team.

• Maintains close contact with customers, carriers and service providers with regard to market conditions affecting service levels.

• Ensure cost effectiveness of operations through established control of equipment, utilities and supplies.

• Other duties as assigned to the position if any

• Can make decisions and able to re-evaluate if necessary

• A pragmatic approach to work and the ability to be flexible when needed

• Ability to translate customer needs into business solutions

  

• Assist operation team oriented and with proven interest in people development

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE

• College or above.

• Maritime, international Trading, Business Administration subject is preferred.

• Above 8 years experiences in freight forwarding industry.

• Working experience in lead a team for daily Operations is preferred.

• Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin & local language

• 2 years in supervisor position or proven project management experience.

• Successful nurturing good operation clerks.

• Good in Microsoft office software.

• Self Discipline.

• Integrity and dedication.

• Good communication skills and a team player.

• Problem-solving and solution finding.

• Customer and result-focused

• Positive thinking.
