DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES

Thought Leadership:

- Proactively author excellent case studies showcasing our project outputs

- Gain testimonials and client endorsements as a result of excellent deliverables

- Contribute to content to be published to increase our industry profile

- Contribute to conference paper submissions

- Consider opportunities for new method innovation based on understanding of client needs

Client Engagement:

- Lead client meetings at each stage of the project lifecycle for quantitative research

- Able to play a significant role on proposal-making for quantitative research with input from the Head of the Research Department

- Identify future opportunities for new business based on learnings from existing projects

- Build strong relationships with our client contacts and anticipate their needs

- Convincingly sell the Quantitative design and deliverables

Project Excellence:

- Be the project lead for the quantitative project lifecycle and deliver industry-leading work

- Identify any areas as a team we can optimize for projects for even greater client satisfaction

Team Development:

- Work collaboratively & flexibly with team members to take on feedback and continuously improve

- Ability to help guide junior team members and managers on best practice

- Introduce alternative approaches & methods at each step on the project lifecycle to further broaden the knowledge & understanding of how to solve problems & optimize amongst the team

? Position Specific Competencies

- Project lead and able to act as the senior client contact for quantitative research projects

- Skilled at articulating complex or advanced methods/issues in everyday language for clients

- Able to recommend and justify the best research design and methodology against the client objective

- Exposure to advanced methods, e.g. regression, segmentation, max-diff, conjoint

- Highly experienced at troubleshooting and contingency planning for quantitative fieldwork

- Able to guide and explain to foreign clients the importance of sampling across different city regions and tiers, and to develop optimum sampling plans accordingly

- Well connected with good relationships with a range of quantitative research partners

- Passion for storytelling with numbers as well as delivering robust, operationally excellent research

- Ability to mentor junior consultants and managers to develop their skills in quantitative research

- Able to introduce new ways of visualizing quantitative data at speed without compromising accuracy

- Experience in writing insight-led reports and delegating elements to other team members

- Cross-category experience is a must (and the broader range of categories the better)

- Ad-hoc project experience in addition to trackers is highly desirable

- Highly proficient in survey design and able to guide junior consultants and managers on this

- Excellent understanding on how to ensure correct survey programming, even with complex routing, and to guide junior consultants and managers on this

? Education and Work Experience

- 7+ years’ experience in quantitative market research

- Fluent in English and Mandarin

- Experience of multi-market studies is a bonus

- Experience with data modelling software (e.g. R, SPSS) not expected but a bonus

- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Economics a bonus

- Natural ability with numbers
