JOB TITLE:Commercial Manager Location: Shanghai

REPORTS TO: Channel Management Group Manager

DEPARTMENT: Channel Management Date: October 18, 2018

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Be the critical plant of centralized channel management team, to support business growth for business unit through clear channel strategy establishing and execution.

MAIN JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

CHANNEL MANAGEMENT

  • Joint efforts in the Channel strategy setting up and execution

  • Work closely with Sales team, to identify the suitable candidates for distributors, independently assessing their capacity and capability, and submit them for corporate approvals.

  • Setup and implement distributor training system

  • Involve in the distribution performance management, partner with sales managers, compliance managers to evaluate distributors both on performance and risk metrics.

  • Compare the forecast with the actual order to highlight major discrepancies.

  • Follow up orders from Distributors to ensure it meet with our monthly purchase targets.

  • Work with Finance, logistic and customer service staffs in Shanghai to ensure meeting customer needs

  • Based on the evaluation also engaged in distributors improvement plan

  • Execution on distributors incentive plans based on existed process and polices.

  • Set up standard requirement package for channel distributors identification, approval, establishment, training, Performance monitoring, Compliance Management and evaluation.

  • To co-wok with BU head/RSM to implement BU channel strategy in different sales regions

CHANNEL MODEL TRANSITION

  • Take part in the global initiatives for China Channel Model transition in China and set up detail implementation plan, partner with relevant teams for full execution.

INVENTORY/RECEIVABLE MANAGEMENT

  • Tracking distributors’ orders progress until its fulfillment, monitoring distributor’s inventory in safe level

  • Review inventory in warehouse to highlight slow moving, Short UBD and obsolescence. Work with various managers in devising a plan to dispose of unwanted inventory.

  • Monitor creditworthiness and the receivable level of the distributors.

  • Resolve any discrepancies with the distributors’ accounts.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor degree or above, MBA is preferred.

    JOB EXPERIENCE

  • Multi-year work experience in MNC, 6-7+ year channel management and/or Sales management experience in medical device & equipment industry preferred.

    SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

  • Committed to Medtronic’s mission and values.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skill

  • Mature, independent

  • Have commercial operation experience, can draft contract format

  • Effective in communication and good interpersonal skill

  • Good command in both English and Mandarin.
