As part of the global HCIT global engineering team, the China team also plays a unique and critical role in GE Healthcare’s China growth strategy by building In-Country-For-Country (ICFC) products and solutions designed for China and other emerging markets. The team is very passionate about applying state-of-art software technologies such as Mobile & Cloud to Healthcare industry to better serve customers. The team is looking for a dedicated, engaging, seasoned engineering manager to lead and grow the China engineering team. Role Summary/Purpose

Reporting to HCIT China Chief Technology Officer, the China Engineering Manager plays critical role in regional technology leadership and has overall responsibility for product engineering through leadership, technical governance and alignment of technology vision with business strategies

Essential Responsibilities

• Drive regional product engineering activities through design, development, and execution to ensure timely deliverables for business and growth needs. Primary owner for all aspects of software development in multi-generation product life cycle. • Coach, lead and grow a group of highly capable software developer engineers, test engineers and program managers. • Collaborate with business leaders, marketing leaders, product managers and global engineering leaders on defining technology strategy and roadmap; ensure global technical and platform alignment and smooth program execution. • Identify and evaluate technologies and processes to influence and recommend best in class solutions. • Drive budget control, engineering organizational design, technology differentiation, functional excellence and teamwork. • Act as champions for agile methodology within and beyond engineering organization. • Drive a culture that ensures outstanding compliance and adherence to product quality in all areas for the Quality Management System in GE Healthcare.

Qualifications/Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in shipping large scale multi-generation software products with hands-on, full-cycle experiences. • 5+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role, manager of manager experiences highly preferred.• Proven track record of successful cross-team/group collaboration to drive necessary processes.• Experience in shipping multiple product releases from start to finish. Proven leadership of complex and global programs/teams. • Demonstrated excellent leadership skills to drive operations, innovation, and collaboration with both internal and external partners.• Experience working in a matrix organization with geographically distributed structures.• Strong software architect, design, coding & testing skills.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or other related technical discipline.
