PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.Play an active role in the project team by contributing creative ideas aimed at improving healthcare IT solutions for hospitals, to help enhance their efficiency and the quality of their healthcare service. . Creative ideas should result in patents that protect potential future expansion of our healthcare business.
2.Design and implement solutions, in collaboration with hospitals.
3.Test your solutions in a hospital setting.
4.Be up-to-date, and understand, existing literature in specific area assigned to you. Ensure creative ideas are supported/build on existing literature. Literature reviews and outcome of experiments to be produced by candidate are made available to the Client community in the form of Technical Reports.
5.Actively collaborate with colleagues in Client that are working in related fields and assist your colleagues, both in China and abroad, by sharing/discussing your insights.
MAJOR CHALLENGESThe task of the Client Research organization in Shanghai is to research and develop the right medical technologies and applications for the China market.
To reach this purpose, we employ people with medical background and technical background, who work together in teams.
1.Carry out industrial research in medical informatics and clinical decision support, enlarging relevant knowledge and bringing-in new knowledge
2.Pro-actively make knowledge available for operational use within Client to contribute to successful transfers of research results to the businesses.
3.Keep abreast of technical, application and market developments in the relevant technological and industrial areas, showing interest in the business aspects
4.Contribute pro-actively to a creative and inspiring working environment
More specifically:
1.Defining and realizing clinical workflows (eliciting requirements for clinical workflows, formalizing and implementing them).
2.Creating tools for clinical decision support based on the requirements of the healthcare professionals and the analysis of historical clinical data. Practical experience in data analysis techniques, e.g., data mining, statistical methods, etc. is beneficial. Additionally, knowledge of the healthcare-related data integration standards and affinity toward data analysis, management, and integration are important.
3.Clinical validation of the developed solutions in forms of the validation though the clinical practice and also clinical trials. Practical experience in setting up or conducting a clinical trial is an added value.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The position requires the following personal capabilities and competence for acceptable performance:
a)Education
b)Master degree or PhD in Medical Informatics. The degree should be supported by publications in renowned international journals.
c)Experience
d)Having knowledge and understanding of at least one of the domains: Clinical decision support, interoperability, workflow.
c) Travel Frequency
< 25%
d) Competency and Skills
Drive, entrepreneurial behaviour, result oriented and quality driven.
Excellent communication skills. English language skills to at least CET level 6.
