Staff Firmware Engineer:

Location: Shanghai, China

Responsible for firmware/software design, development, and testing of deeply embedded microcontroller (M0 core) based system level projects. Primary focus is wireless charging products and similar computing/industry products that have small memory sizes and must deliver real time signal processing from microcontrollers with limited calculating power. Work also requires development of PC based GUIs to support product development and customer evaluations. Scope of support work also includes documentation and unit testing of firmware/software/tools at all functional levels as well as hardware-firmware issues. Also, provide technical support and expertise to IDT field engineers and customers.

Required Skills: · MS degree in Computer Science or closely related field that includes formal training in software development discipline · Minimum 5 years low-level real time firmware development experience with micro controllers, such Cortex M0. · Excellent C/C++ and assembly language coding skills required, experience with PC application development is a plus. · Must have extensive hands-on experience and comfort working with analog/digital hardware and hardware test tools as related to firmware development · Must have rich experience on android HAL and framework level · Must have Linux kernel and BSP experience · Hardware interfaces knowledge , for example: I2C,UART,SPI etc · Must be able to work independently with a minimum of support · Some travel may be required (mostly to customer sites) · Proven ability to work in global team environment
