Position: Project manager for development of a 2-wheel e-scooter

Division/Department: Volkswagen China Passenger Cars Brand

Location: Beijing

Main goals and objectives

Management of complex, cross-functional projects with high importance for the Volkswagen’s strategy of mikro-mobility. Development and tracking of relevant project parameters and milestones, and preparation for decision making (e.g., project , timeline, concepts, processes, structure) for the project of Volkswagen Streetmate, a 2-wheel e-scooter.

？ Setup of project teams and development of project plans

？ Management of project implementation in terms of time, quality and cost

？ Coordination of parties/ project members involved, incl. VW internal and external partners

？ Solving of problems and conflicts of interests

？ Ensuring project objectives and key milestones

Your Responsibilities:

？ Management of project initiation and implementation incl. integration and tracking of development partners and suppliers from  local industry, e.g.:

o Setup and management of local project teams

o Tracking of project implementation and achievement of project objectives

o Documentation of project implementation and degrees of milestone fulfillment

？ Ensuring communication between VW AG Germany, VW China, external engineering service providers and the local Chinese partners, e.g.:

o Coordination of parties/ project members involved, incl. VW internal and external partners

o Ensuring communication and collaboration between involved parties within the project

？ Ensuring compliance with segment specific quality standards

？ Tracking and ensuring of project budget approved, as well as an holistic time and resource planning for the project

Our Requirements:

Necessary education:

？ Skills of project management / experience with management consulting

？ Experience in motorcycle/ scooter/ e-bike/ e-scooter related companies

？ Deep knowledge about product development process

？ Knowledge regarding project planning and experience of project implementation and tracking

？ Experience in multinational companies preferred

？ University degree in a relevant field required

？ Outstanding comprehension ability

？ Conceptional / out of the box thinking skills

？ Considerate, flexible & attentive to details

？ Able to work independently, under pressure, handle dynamic situation

？ Interested-in and very familiar with the Chinese culture and way of working

？ >5 years

Remarks (Language, IT Knowledge, Certificates etc.):

？ Fluent in English and Chinese, additional German language skills preferred

？ Proficient skills in office software (MS Office)
