Position: Parts Product Management. & Loyalty

Division/Department: Group Strategy and Sales & Marketing/Parts Sales & Marketing

Location: Beijing


Main goals and objectives:

? Develop and execute Product Management (Aftersales) tasks and responsibilities with all VGC entities (JV’s, VGIC) on different sales levels.

? Monitor and benchmark Group Product Management performance

? Initiate, conduct and report on Product Management activities (Aftersales potentials for current & new assortments to ensure achievement and exploration of parts revenue and profit contribution.

? Lead parts business projects & Initiatives and research and analyze new business opportunities & trends in dynamic automotive market environment of China

? Monitor market and parts legislation to ensure adaptation to future Legal environment and work with business associations and government contacts to lobby for appropriate measures

? Propose proactive measures to ensure Volkswagen Group is in the vanguard of aftersales market activity

Your Responsibilities:

? VGC Aftersales Parts Product Management Strategy

o Develop and work on parts  programs with JV’s and suppliers

o Provide input and  recommendations for strategic partnerships with suppliers

o Conduct benchmark analysis with competitors in order to generate input for critical success factors

o Calculate the business case and get buy-in by JVs

o Develop the medium and long term product management strategy to be in line with the sustainable Aftersales business growth and profit contribution

o Monitor parts legislation to ensure adaptation in parts strategies

? Manage Parts Product Marketing & Sales Activities

o Coordinate Product Management initiatives (new assortments, campaigns for current assortments) from IACS, CSS, DSS, STS, GIPA studies analysis to optimize parts revenue and profit contribution performance with all VGC’s entities & sales levels

o Coordinate and monitor follow-up activities from VGC dealer workshop audits analysis results on assortment to ensure Group parts performance meets Group parts strategy, gain insight in Product Management performance of dealers and use this as input for Product Management activities on Wholesaler and Manufacturer level.

o Develop and execute marketing campaigns to stimulate parts sales together with JV’s

o Create methods and tools to link all Product Management data with each other to gain an in- depth and integrated insight into core product issues, developments and potentials on all levels (vertical: dealer, wholesaler,  manufacturer, supplier; horizontal: Group Brands, competitors) and dimensions

o Communicate Product Management performance results with VWAG and JVs/VGIC to achieve common understanding and alignment of Product Management performance status (issues),  rating and assessment tools and methods

o Work on business cases and measures (price- volume concepts) to improve the  sales performance, creating synergies between entities on products such as tyres and oil

o Contact and prepare negotiations with suppliers and JV’s on common measures and action plans to stimulate parts sales

? Development of Parts Remanufacturing Business

o Monitor the remanufacturing business development in China.

o Check the legal environment and regulation/law updates. Closely work together with K-GVO to develop the medium and long term remanufacture business strategy

o Work with automotive business associations and government relations to  obtain  greater liberalization of re-man market

o Create business cases for the development of re- manufacturing product both with internal and 3rd party suppliers

o Promote understanding and development of re- manufacturing product sales with the support of training and Brand aftersales departments

? Development of Accident Damage Management programs

o Monitor the vehicle insurance    business    trends and development in China.

o Conceive    strategic    initiatives    to    ensure    the steering    of    accident    business    into    the    4S dealership   network   of   all   Volkswagen   Group entities

o Work with insurance associations and companies to maintain influence on placing of accident business

o Create alliances with insurance companies to develop insurance sales and to increase long-term customer retention within the 4S dealer network

o Promote new concepts for Accident Assistance to enhance customer satisfaction

? Implement NORA (Trade Sales) concept into China

o Analyze the market trends and competitive environment for trade business

o Understand the legal constraints  for  trade business and lobby where necessary

o Provide business case support to JV entities to enable project to be validated at shareholder level

o Support implementation of cross-China concept by acting as interface to all appropriate parties and functions

Our Requirements:

Necessary education:

? Bachelor or above degree in related fields

Personal skills:

? Excellent command of knowledge in Aftersales Product Management, broad knowledge in Marketing & Sales and Aftersales Service & Parts is preferred

? Advanced command of knowledge and comprehensions on China automotive industry

? Advanced command of knowledge of Marketing and Sales concepts targeting different groups of customers

? Good ability to translate automotive data and market trends into Product marketing activities

? Strong interpersonal and high acceptance, especially with external entities

? Good negotiation, persuasive, communication and presentation skills

? Advanced skills for project management and organization

? Team-oriented working as well as sharing information within the team

? Proven ability to focus on solutions, not problems and execute plans on operational level

? Structured thinking, networked thinking

Working experience (in years):

? Minimum 5 years working experience in automotive or related industry

Remarks (Language, IT Knowledge, Certificates etc.):

? High level of English (spoken and written), Chinese and German is a plus
