Position: Pricing & Volume (Contractor)

Division/Department: Volkswagen China Passenger Cars Brand/ Pricing & Volume & Processes

Location: Beijing


Main goals and objectives:

? Price Strategy & Volume Planning for Volkswagen Brand China Region China current and future product portfolio

? Support of pricing and volume related issues

? Support representation of Pricing, Volume topics


Your Responsibilities:

? Support development of medium and long-term Pricing Strategy to ensure profitability and competitiveness of Volkswagen Brand portfolio in PEP phase

? Develop and align China Brand Volkswagen pricing standards

? Develop and monitor frequent customer research studies to derive up-to-date customer values (customer pricing readiness indication)

? Develop up-to-date pricing strategies to maximize profitability and competitiveness of Brand Volkswagen models in China under changing market and competitor environment

? Develop annually price study and be in charge of reaching top management approval as part of Planning Round decisions

? Support pricing process for all Volkswagen Brand models

? Support development of pricing presentations for Top Management meetings: monitor development of sales performances and support in generating plausible arguments / explanations on individual sales performances

? Derive concise Top Management recommendations in order to achieve sustainable financial results in vehicle projects

? Support vehicle project responsible in all new and existing Brand Volkswagen vehicle projects


Our Requirements:

Necessary education:

? University degree Bachelor or above: business, economics, marketing and sales, business management or similar, preferred subject major in automotive management or automotive engineering

Personal skills:

? Great data analytical skills

? Experienced user of Microsoft Excel, Access;

? Self-driven, Entrepreneurial spirit

? Strong project, problem solving and time management capability

? Communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English, German would be a plus


Working experience (in years):

? 3-5 years of product marketing, strategy, research and planning experience

? Automotive knowledge (Chinese market preferred) and relative product technology knowledge

? Professional volume and price planning knowledge

? Professional knowledge in market research, product research and consumer research

? Quantitative analysis knowledge and skills

? Good data processing ability


Remarks (Language, IT Knowledge, Certificates etc.):

? English language skills essential, Chinese and German advantageous

? MS Office proficient
