Reports to: Operational Excellence Director

BASIC FUNCTIONS
Continuous Improvement & Lean Operation Excellence implementation to achieve Measurable Outcomes in Productivity, Cash, Quality, Customer Satisfaction and People Development
1. Make a stepped improvement in the operations excellence in Asia manufacturing sites, sales & distribution operations to ensure the competitive position is improved
2. Reap financial and non-financial benefits from continuous improvement activities and workshops
3. Provide a dedicated resource and functional skill base necessary to support the various improvement projects.

ESSENTIAL or FUNDAMENTAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead and Drive Asia level key initiatives to improve cost, quality, delivery and simplification across the organization through Six Sigma and Lean programs
2. Monitor and Drive site level Opex projects and activities to achieve OPEX savings
3. Lead and Mentor other key Big Y projects that the management is committed to deliver
4. Ensure global and regional initiatives are well-perpetuated through the site through such program.
5. Interact with Asia top management and Regional management team, functional groups to identify opportunities & drive improvement throughout the entire order-to-cash business cycle.
6. Conduct six sigma green belt training, lean/kaizen workshop to support overall development in lean (operational) and structured problem solving (six sigma) skill, standardization of practice and calibration of mindset.
7. Mentor and support site level Opex Champion, Green Belts and Functional Managers to work through complex projects and problem solving.
8. Manage Operational Excellence Reporting activities

REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES)
1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business. Master's Degree is a plus. Must be a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Expert.
2. Experience in managing and liaising projects with cross-functional team across different region and Asian countries.
3. Basic understanding and experience in various functions such as logistics, distribution, inventory management.
4. Must have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience & a demonstrated understanding of the entire value stream from order to cash business cycle. Within the working years, must have at least 5 years successful track record of leveraging operational excellence tools to drive improvements across these various functions.
5. Demonstrated performance in managing both traditional DMAIC and Transactional Six Sigma projects, and Lean implementation through kaizen workshops.
6. Strong presentation and training skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Able to communicate smoothly in English.
