Job Title: Assistant Media Planning & Buying Manager (or Senior executive in China)
Reports to: Media Planning Manager
Location: Shanghai Organisation

Purpose What is the core purpose of this job?
Ensuring best-in-class, innovative advertising plans that exceed our brand and commercial targets.
Responsibilities
List up to five main responsibilities for this job – focus on general responsibilities vs. specific tasks
- Ownership of the relationship with local Publishers/platforms and our Media Agency (Dentsu Aegis).
- Ensuring local insights and strategic priorities are fully integrated into global media/marketing planning, including opportunities to enhance Burberry’s Digital leadership position through scalable innovation.
- Managing the media budgets, media plans and negotiations for locally controlled activity (Print, Digital, OOH, etc.), ensuring global strategy and insights are fully integrated.
- Co-planning all Performance Media (Paid Search, Trading Deskand Paid Social activity with the global activation team, with a particular focus on expanding into new channels (OTT, Dynamic OOH, etc).
- Ensuring seamless integration with Earned and Owned channels to maximise impact and effectiveness.
Measures of success
List up to three key performance indicators this job that can be measured on
- Increased performance against Brand and Commercial targets: measured via econometric analysis, brand trackers, Burberry.com performance, etc.
- Creating unique and innovative advertising plans that present Burberry as a pioneering, digitally-led luxury brand: measured via relevant first-to-market opportunities, beta partnerships, leveraging earned media, etc.

- Local Marketing channels: PR, Digital Marketing, VIP, Events,Social, etc.
- Local Digital Commerce and Retail teams. Global Media & Buying team (based in London).
- Marketing Effectiveness team.
- Media Agency (Dentsu Aegis).
- Media production agency (RAPP).
EXPERIENCE What extent of experience is required
Minimum 5-7 years Assistant Media planning & buying experience (minimum 3-5 years for Senior executive).
