Description

Work in an international R&D center with a dynamic, stimulating environment, competitive compensation and plenty of opportunities to grow professionally, in an organization providing digital set-top box, digital mobile TV, and broadband networking products.

Activities will include:
- Monitor technological evolution and vendor roadmaps for key devices to maintain a product development roadmap which maintains Technicolor's leadership in feature-rich, cost-competitive, market-leading solutions.
- Analysis of new broadband gateway product requirements (DSL gateways with VoIP, Wireless LAN, DECT, Ethernet functionalities).
- Creation and/or execution of the detailed product hardware definition.
- Feasibility study on complex technical blocks, managing execution of the designs
(e.g.: schematic capture, lay-out, hardware testing, regulatory).
- Management (technical, quality, and schedule) of external ODM partners who will be part of the execution of the design and performing volume manufacturing.
- Hardware debug support for the driver- and firmware- engineers in system development.
- Managing the cost of the product (development cost, BOM cost)
remark:
The ODM (Original Design Manufacture) business model: Technicolor leads the hardware development, however main part of the implementation/execution of the design occurs within an ODM .

Education and Skills

General
? Team player
? Result driven
? Fluently both in written and oral English.
? Fluently both in written and oral Mandarin.
? Good communication and presentation skills.
Specific
? Master's degree (or similar by experience) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
? 5+ years experience in hardware design and development with preferably 2+ years in ADSL/VDSL products.
? Experience in managing an external ODM-partner or major component sub-contractor is a strong plus.
? Project management experience is a strong plus.
? Quality management experience is a plus.
? Strong experience and good understanding of ADSL/SHDSL/VDSL systems.
? Familiarity with WLAN IEEE802.11a/b/g/n, Ethernet 10/100/1G, VOIP, USB1.1/2.0 designs and standards.
? Experienced in the regulatory aspects (EMC, EMI, ESD, surges,...) of a design.
? Experience with high-speed PCB design and RF circuitry is a plus.
? Experience with networking products is a strong plus.
