Role purpose
The purpose of the role is:
To attain Nuclear business, retain and develop clients in China and promote LR and it's products and
services.
Key Responsibilities
1 Interpret the China Nuclear business area - sales and growth strategy.
2 Responsible for client relationship. To be the main point of contact for the client as well as
establishing personal contact with key influencing personnel. Manage the client relationship in its
entirety and act as the interface between all levels both internally and externally.
3 Lead a small team of Business Support and/or Sales/Client Relationship Managers.
4 Ensure strategic relations are developed and maintained between LR senior management and client
senior management.
5 Prepare and maintain an Account Plan for each client which will involve how to effectively manage
the relationship and research to establish knowledge of a client such as business strategy, company
structure, hierarchy and identity of decision makers and influencers.
6 Responsible for achieving agreed sales targets to protect and grow business for clients within China.
7 Identify new business opportunities in China Nuclear.
8 Identify the suitable partner and enablers in China for grow in Nuclear
9 Manage queries and problems for the client relating to Nuclear business.
10 To disseminate relevant up to date technical information.
11 Promote and communicate LR products and services to clients directly, and arrange appropriate
visits, presentations and local seminars as required. This includes proposal preparation and
presentation.
12 Monitor and report on all client meetings and visits as well as all aspects of competitor activity for
each client and general client activity. Disseminate this information to senior management.
13 Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation and industry
standards.
To pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge
and awareness.
Specific Job Responsibilities
1. Develop commercial and competitor intelligence on the China Nuclear market, perform effective
market analysis and segmentation to update sector strategy and identify growth segments and new
business opportunities within China Nuclear.
2. Implement global nuclear business strategy for china and country specific growth plan,
communicate to key stakeholders and monitor its implementation using on the agreed upon key
performance indicators.
3. Build strong strategic partnerships with Business Managers, sales force and key accounts and other
relevant internal/ external stakeholders and collaborate with them to drive Nuclear business growth
in China.
4. Liaise with other business areas/offices including newly acquired companies to develop and
implement integrated go-to-market strategies and realise cross selling business opportunities where
appropriate.
5. Review existing business development, client servicing and account management processes to
enable LR to achieve high level of customer service and lead and support Asia's sales & marketing
team to achieve desired standard.
6. Coordinate the identification and provide input to support new products and services identification
and development initiatives to realise sustainable growth where appropriate.
7. Build strong LR brand awareness in the NUCLEAR sector by representing LR at relevant events.
Specific Job Requirements
1. Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing/Sales or equivalent.
2. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in sales, three years of which is spent managing accounts and
client relationships with C level management in Nuclear industry.
3. Minimum 3 years of experience in developing, communicating and implementing sales and
marketing plans that are aligned to stream's growth strategies and coaching sales team to achieve
established objectives
4. In-depth knowledge of Nuclear and Business in China and with proven track record in managing
large complex accounts and winning bids, tenders and technical contracts.
5. Ready to acquire knowledge of Lloyd's Register's products, services & group and business stream
strategy, internal systems, processes & guidelines and industry environment (e.g. competitors,
general market forces, global economy, market trends, regulatory environments and political forces
and realities) that governs the China Nuclear or the ability to develop such capabilities in a short
period of time.
6. Proven track record in managing and influencing multiple stakeholders at all levels both internally
and externally, building strategic alliances and improving sales and account management process to
support the stream's customer focused initiatives.
7. Presented in industry conferences and media events and functioned in a multicultural and matrix
organisation.
8. Analytical and self motivated team player who possess entrepreneurial spirit, financial acumen and
passion for results.
10. Willing to travel to spearhead new business identification and development initiatives.
