JOB OBJECTIVES:
1. To contribute to strategies of regional Structural Foam technical development and implementation in the Greater China region.
2. To be responsible for Structural Foam's business development for Greater China according to the Structural Global strategy/ Business plan.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Introduce KT/SF products in the wind energy, Marine and transport business with a focus on wind energy.
2. Understand the value chain in targeted account in order to successfully penetrate and qualify our foams through good and proper Key Account Management practices.
3. Project Management: to initiate & identify of potential project/ new applications and manage project from trial to commercialization in the Greater China market. Actively fill up the project pipeline.
4. To understand, evaluate and set up supply chain requirement (e.g Kitting services, etc) to meet market/customer's needs.
5. Establish service agreement with the agreed partners. Provide good forecast and establish good supply chain practices to manage customer's requirement.
6. Collaborate where possible with CZ and EC for joint synergies, to specify our structural foam into the composite matrix.
7. Render technical support to handle technical enquiry/question, trouble shooting, organize & participate in technical discussions/ seminar with customers, support product sampling and trials in Greater China. Write trial reports and co-ordinate with regional and global partners.
8. Use our technical competency in our application laboratory at BASF SE or in Shanghai to support customer's effort to qualify our products.
9. Work with design consultants/partners to understand technical requirements to gain qualification.
10. New Business Development: co-ordinate, securing and expanding all business activities related to Structural foam in Greater China to achieve target growth plan.
11. Market Intelligence: to monitor competition and market situation/ major trend in the industry, periodically to conduct and update market survey.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor degree in Polymer, Science or Engineering is preferable.
2. 3-5 years in structural foam application, servicing the wind blade industry.
3. Good understanding and experience in the design of wind blade design, material used (resin, glass/carbon fibre, foam) and its fabrication process.
4. Experience with foam a plus.
5. Independent with ability to multi-task, and work under minimum supervision.
6. Innovative and resourceful in creating new ideas in applications and approach to value chain.
7. Mentoring and coaching others.
