Description

-Manage new production introductions; coordinate Engineering, Operations, and ODM teams for development builds and ramp readiness activities at the ODM and key supplier sites.

-Input to and influence product design to improve design for manufacturability, quality, serviceability, cost, and supply chain.

-At the product development stage, you will work closely with the Engineering and Operations teams to ensure that product designs are optimized for manufacturability, quality, supply chain flexibility, and efficiency.

-Drive ramp readiness checklists that include completion of component and tooling qualification, material availability, equipment, fixtures, training, documentation, and transition plans, ensuring the ODM plays the lead role. Manage the schedule and highlight, communicate, and escalate any potential obstacle in meeting the build and ramp schedules. Drive issues to closure with the appropriate cross functional owners.

-Drive for optimized supply chains with best quality and operational flexibility, by influencing manufacturability and testability goals; and improve regional capability.

-Lead the ODM Factory and Quality Teams and be the primary operations interface between ODM NPI and HP product development team and other functional organizations within company. As the Operation’s primary contact to ODM factory, either through direct involvement and/or influence, you will be ensuring the successful launch of the product towards meeting its stated Quality, Availability and Customer Experience goals.

-Drive for responsive supply chains that are optimized for lowest costs, greater operational flexibility, regional fulfillment and highest quality.

-Manage the schedule and highlight, communicate, and escalate any potential obstacle in meeting the build and ramp schedules. Drive issues to closure with the appropriate cross functional owners.

-Responsible for all aspects of manufacturing process, including Assembly, Testing and Quality in sustaining production. Work together with cross functions to drive for product solutions, increase line efficiency and control product quality.

-Take ownership of sustaining production engineering to ensure production line is ready in terms of facilities, equipments, process and capacity so that production plan can be met.

-Executes and implements the strategic direction, goals, objectives and key measurement systems to ensure the business goals are met. Primary metrics include - process and yield goals, monitor and audit product quality across all yield and audit points, ensure adequate controls and product integrity are in place.

-Management of miscellaneous operational initiatives relating to supply chain changes / software transitions / compliance requirements etc.

-Drive full awareness of product and process changes, which will impact the ODM. Ensure Supplier’s Performance Meet Requirement.

-Defines and reviews performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement actions to address.

-Contributes to priority projects by adding creative insights and developing recommendations for advanced process solutions.

-Contributes to special initiatives to improve supplier and internal process improvement.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required

-First level university engineering degree, advanced degree a plus.

-Minimum 6 years of experience in a supply chain function.

-Broad experience in Manufacturing, Product quality, and Supply chain Management.

-Expertise in new product introduction processes.

-Strong balance of supply chain management, operations management and product and process technology; Understanding of factory operations and planning.

-Analytical, process oriented and strong problem solving skills. Prior technical experience in PCBA/System Mfg.

-Previous Design for Manufacturing experience in PC industry a plus.

Knowledge and Skills Required

-Excellent understanding of supply chain processes (plan, source, make deliver).

-Identifies cutting edge analytical tools, models and methods for making key business and design for manufacturing decisions.

-Capability to review ME drawings/concepts to feedback DfM requirements a strong plus.

-Strong capability to define and drive process and quality improvements.

-Excellent communication and influencing skills; mastery in English and local language.

-Excellent internal and external relationship management skills.

-Extensive knowledge and understanding of how to analyze business and design problems using Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), statistical analysis, and product design tools.

-Strong business acumen and technical knowledge of NB and Tablet computers and development processes.

-Excellent understanding of national and international trade requirements to align customs/trade function with business objectives.

-Strong leadership skills including team-building and conflict resolution and management.

-High energy level with excellent motivational, leadership and growth competencies.

-Customer and quality oriented, business and cost minded.

-Sharp and flexible intellect with a demonstrated track record of creative problem solving.

-An honest and straightforward approach to business and people.

-Confidence and ability to work largely independently, while ensuring that leadership is kept well informed.
