- Allocator is to ensure the right product is in the right store at the right time to optimise profitability.

- The Allocator will achieve this by optimising inventory across all doors and channels and supporting the merchandising team.

- They are responsible for the management and maintenance of the key metrics and forecasting calculations within the allocation system.

- The role also includes replenishing stock when it is low by looking at the sales of individual stores to recommend and action transfers.

- The Allocator will often be the first point of contact for the stores to the merchandising team.

- It is key that the Allocator has a keen attention to detail so that the individual stores never run out of stock.

- An Allocator is often the first step on your way to becoming either a Merchandiser - Region or Central, or Planner.
