Job Description

• Conduct research and pre-development of innovative powertrain systems and power electronics components for electrified vehicles

• Work closely with corporate research hub in Renningen, Germany on project activities and competence development

• Work closely with business units to supply cutting edge and competitive technology solutions and to transform them to products

• Execute technology scouting in China/Asia covering both academia and industry in China/Asia for preparing strategic decisions

• Main responsibility includes

？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？ -？？？Pursue technology excellence by contributing brilliant ideas ？to new product concepts including？？？ patent filing

？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？ -？？ Prove innovation concept by pre-development including design, simulation, prototyping, test and？ validation

？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？ -？ Support project activities to transfer deliverables to business units successfully

？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？ -？ Manage suppliers and lab facilities for sample construction

Qualifications

• PhD degree in discipline of Power electronics or electric drives

• Expert knowledge and practical experiences in power converter/inverter hardware design, simulation, rapid prototyping and experimental validation

• Good knowledge with wide bandgap power semiconductors, converter control, magnetic design and tools e.g. Ansys, Plecs and Simulink

• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written), speaking German is a plus

• Good knowledge with certain level of experience on electric powertrain system and components e.g. inverter, electric motor, gearbox, as well as fuel cell system are preferred

• International education and experiences is a plus

• Efficient, goal-oriented, structured working style, experienced in project work

• Passionate for innovation; filed patents on qualified content during PhD or prior work is a benefit

• Strong team player; open to work in an international environment
