This is a position for our Shanghai Shared Services Centre and reports to the Accounting Manager who is based in Shanghai.

Job Duties:

- Responsible for various elements of the entity’s daily and monthly financial activities including the record of journal entries, maintenance and reconciliation of financial systems

- Ensure the smooth work process for claims payment and premium receipt allocation for the units

- Responsible for the preparation of accounting statements and various financial reports including reconciliation statements and account analyses.

- Work with appropriate responsible parties (including overseas offices) to communicate issues and resolution plans.

- Manage staff to agreed deadlines and roster staff to fulfill the work shift requirements

- Conduct training and/or provide guidance to less experienced staff.

- Participate in and/or supervise in the implementation of company initiatives including: improved management information requirement, financial information system, financial planning and analysis tools, new products and services and internal control enhancements.

- Ensure compliance with Aetna internal control and financial reporting guidance.

Requirements:

- University degree in the business disciplines of finance, economics, or accounting.

- Preferably with Certified Accounting designation

- Minimum 3+ years supervisory experience with working experience in financial services sector is a plus

- Highly motivated team player with positive attitudes, energetic and be able to work independent

- Excellent communication, organizational, detail-oriented and problem solving skills

- Previous experience with MNC is a plus

- Excellent spoken & written English is a MUST

- Able to undertake flexible working patterns. (Shifts)
