As a member of the improvement team, his/her strong technical expertise in electronics or mechanics and his experience in equipment realization and validation will allow him/her to take actively part in improvement of process and product.

This position reports to the Project Manager Improvement

Tasks

• As an active member of the improvement team, responsible for the equipment validation and global process & product improvement during ramp up phase

• Responsible for Equipment specification, design, realization and validation (quality, lead time and cost) and define standard equipment documentation
• Follow and validate the realization done by local suppliers for machine upgrade or duplication, applying LEM standard for machine design

• Provide innovations, standardization and technical ameliorations of the processes in collaboration with other site

• Review and Update Process FMEA to reduce risk and make sure action plan is implemented

• Evaluation and implementation of technical modifications during the project and the serial phases

• Make sure process poka yoke are under control with no non-conformity to standard

• Define the process documentation : PFMEA, Control plan, BOM, equipment and process approval,

• Work in close collaboration with all LEM departments involved in product/process development from different site.

Key personal skills

• Automotive sensor technology is preferred: Familiar with Assembly process, welding process such as Ultra sonic welding, laser welding process; Potting and dispensing process, soldering process, and EOL testing process.

• Good knowledge of analyze tools (CPK, R&R, etc), Design of Experiments (DOE), Design for Manufacturability (DFM).

• Experience in manufacturing environment: quality and productivity improvement, lean 6 sigma mindset.

• Technical evaluation of proposals from suppliers and contractors;

• Technical competencies in equipment design and tuning,

• Designing with 3D software (like Solidworks, Creo,…) is a plus

• Background in PLC software or robot is a plus

• International mind-set and intercultural experience

Education and Experience

• Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanics or Electronics
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in engineering development as equipment designer in mass production industry (automotive industry is a plus)
• Good knowledge of English. (written and spoken), international experience is a plus
