GENERAL SUMMARY:

As a member of QCT's Modem Test group, candidate will be responsible for verifying modem system protocols/features, collecting logs from different sources, characterizing system performance, stability and field testing in the technology: LTE/IMS/UMTS/CDMA/5G/Other RAT. Significant interaction with SW/SYS teams are needed.

Shanghai is preferred, Beijing optional

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Modem System Device Test in Live Network
• Conducts basic field or lab tests as directed by tech leads.
• Understands basic features of the system and draft test plan
• Writes functional tests for features to ensure functionality.
• Using different tools to collect information (e.g., logs, requirements) and identifies common errors related to systems testing.
• Assists with verifying that proposed solutions to identified issues accurately address and correct the problem.
• Detects bugs in the device and resolves issues using basic debugging approaches.
• Generate Test Report for progress and issues
• Manages individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with close supervision.
• Log Analysis
• Conducts log analyses to identify where an issue has occurred.
• Gathers, integrates, and interprets information from a variety of sources to troubleshoot issues.
• Daily discussion with software and systems teams about identified feature issues.
• Executing scripts to process logs
• Collaborates with individuals inside own team to complete the team's work.
• Seeks opinions of others within own team about ways in which a problem can be addressed differently.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Knowledge in telecommunication system like UMTS/LTE, IMS
• Fluent oral/written English is required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge and Experience in Python, Java or .NET
• Knowledge in Linux, Android System
• Knowledge in TCP/IP
