Overview:
Amazon.com's Retail Systems team is seeking a bright, detail-oriented and visionary applicant to join us as a lead liaison with our China Retail Business and Retail Business Services group (RBS). The RBS group, based in China, is an integral part of Amazon online product lifecycle and buying operations. This team is designed to ensure Amazon remains competitive in the online retail space with best prices, wide selection and good product information. RBS's primary role is to create and enhance retail selection on the worldwide Amazon online catalog. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customers' buying decisions and online users' experiences.
In this role, you will be the driving force that collaborates with the retail business, RBS and technical teams around the globe. You will deliver solutions and programs that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible - all while maintaining a strong vendor and customer focus. You will work with stakeholders, multiple retail businesses, RBS and technical teams to identify, define, and specify solutions meeting our customers' and vendors' needs. You will also be the face and voice for the retail business and RBS teams, working with these teams on a daily basis to improve processes and communication.
You will be responsible for managing multiple processes within retail by integrating and contributing to global improvements (Canada, China, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, UK and US). The scope of these initiatives requires us to recruit a high-energy, talented, thought leader who can manage innovation and execution. This is a high visibility position and requires sound decision-making capabilities. The initiatives that you will lead are viewed by senior management as critical enhancements needed to reduce cost and improve customer experience.
Roles and Responsibility:
· Identify business process improvements and areas of automation, driving these process improvements across retail business, RBS and technical teams
· Lead retail business, RBS and technical teams in driving standardization of business processes across multiple product lines, as well as, extending to global retail teams
· Define, measure and present metrics / reports to Senior Level Management to ensure proper project prioritization to support multiple retail business teams
· Engage effectively with retail business, RBS and technology team members to manage and resolve issues and escalations on a daily basis
· Ability and willingness for international travel and working with international time zones

Technical Skills
· Experience with Windows, Microsoft Office Products and Internet Browsing applications
· Demonstrable understanding of the Internet, Amazon.com website
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Qualifications:
· Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically
· Demonstrated leadership in forming and driving cross-functional teams
· Sound business judgment, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to influence others
· A strong background (5+ years) in vendor/buyer operations, vendor management, logistics, program management or project management
· A bachelor's degree is required. MBA is preferred.
