Key Objectives
In order to consider new local car brands for the Chinese market, BMW has to learn more about the expectations of non-BMW target groups and collect market-specific requirements. Your job as a technical expert is to collect information about a dedicated segment of the Chinese car customer and learn about their behaviour and expectations. The findings have to be translated in a detailed technical context, mainly focussing on Driveability Charakteristics of the drive train from the Chinese customer point of view. In this regard, you will organise and execute benchmark activities to analyse competitor´s weaknesses and advantages, e.g. drive Train characteristics related to the typical customer situations in terms of engine acceleration, idling comfort,acoustic noise, vibration and harshnes etc. Secondly, you will study Chinese customers´ specific expectiations towards a car of a certain segment, applying classical marketing methodologies as well as more creative and hands-on approaches. Overall, you will closely align with the BMW New Brand marketing & sales representatives in order to ensure a ""one-voice"" approach when dealing with the German headquarters. All results, findings and conclusions have to be carefully documented as requirements and communicated to the Germany centers of competence.

Major Responsibilities
-Plan and coordinate various benchmark activities with internal and external partners in China (mainly Beijing), comparing drive train characteristics like engine behavior, tranmission shifting comfort, overal driving comfort and acoustic in typical Chinese road and traffic conditions. -Plan and coordinate market and customer research projects with internal and external partners, focussing on customer expectations towards a non-BMW car. Includes review of existent information and deduction requirements / action plans. -Collection and management of allcomplete vehicle requirements in an internal database (DOORS) -Reply on specific technical requests from German center of competence with self-dependent research and detail analysis

Education / Degree
- Major in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or Aftersales - 3-4 years of job experience

Knowledge / Skills / Competences
Knowledge of Vehicle Characteristics in terms of engine and transmission characteristics from all Major Vehicle Manufacturers, the Automotive market China and the process of Benchmark Analysis Human-Machine-Interface and Ergonomics Market Research Team Work and good communication skills English fluent in Business Driving license (China) and driving experience Excellent in MS Office like Powerpoint, Excell, Word etc.
