Key Objectives
This position is responsible for the Marketing of Motorcycles, BMW Riders Equipment and BMW Motorcycle Accessories in China.
This role reports directly to UX-V3-CN and works closely with the entire Motorrad team on a wide range of topics.
Major Responsibilities
Marketing budget planning and implementation, including overseeing the service and parts and accessories departments.
Developing all Motorcycle product marketing strategies including advertising, events, websites , racing sponsorships as well as other promotions and partnerships.
Supporting BMW Dealerships with product information, the supply of brochures, point of sale materials and technical advertising resources.
To ensure maximum company profitability through the implementation of internal and external controls and measurements.
Ensure BMW Motorrad Dealers adhere to Corporate Identity guidelines and meet customer satisfaction standards.
Maintain the competitor comparison file and conduct market research to identify ideal model specification set up for new models into China for the Sales Manager and Motorcycle Manager.
Management of the Motorrad fleet in terms of motorcycles to be added and removed from the fleet.
The position requires the ability to decide on strategies and work on many projects simultaneously whilst adhering to deadlines. The role has autonomy for target and objective in many areas including:
- Advertising communication strategies.
- Planning of BMW China internet presence.
- Planning of events and promotions.
Education / Degree
Tertiary qualification in business or marketing studies.
Post graduate Marketing or Business qualifications preferable.
Knowledge / Skills / Competences
High levels of communication including presentation skills.
Extensive computer skills in Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Ability to interpret and analyse financial data.
Experience
Minimum 2 years at management level in a sales or marketing department of a car or motorcycle importer/manufacturer.
5 years car or motorcycle importer/manufacturer.
Detailed motorcycle product and technical knowledge.
Commercial background.
Sales experience of assistance.
Must have interest in motorcycling and hold a current motorcycle license.

The BMW Group is one of the most successful manufacturers of automobiles and motorcycles in the world with its BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brands. As a global company, the BMW Group operates 24 production facilities in 13 countries and has a global sales network in more than 140 countries.
The BMW Group achieved a global sales volume of approximately 1.46 million automobiles for the 2010 financial year. Revenues for 2010 totalled euro 60.477 billion. At 31 December 2010, the company employed a global workforce of 95,453 associates.
In 1994 April, BMW Group established the representative office in Beijing, which is recognized as BMW’s official entry to Chinese market. In 2005 October, BMW China Automotive Trading Ltd. was established as another milestone of BMW’s long term commitment to Chinese market.
By both import and local production, BMW has introduced all product series to Chinese market including 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, X, Z, M series as well as MINI and Rolls-Royce brands. In the year of 2010, BMW has sold 168,998 cars in Mainland China, which made China the 3rd largest market in BMW’s global sales network.
