Job summary: Ningxia Western Cloud Data Technology Co., Ltd (NWCD) is a newly formed independent company that aims to become a nationwide leader in public cloud service by providing frontier cloud technologies and best service to domestic and multinational corporations. Headquartered in Zhongwei city of Ningxia province, Ningxia Western Cloud Data Technology Co., Ltd is a fully licensed and certified IDC and ISP provider, a strong contributor to the comprehensive upgrade of technology infrastructure, development of talent and expansion of the cloud ecosystem of Ningxia province and is investing heavily to develop its capabilities in Ningxia and beyond.

Within the team, we have gurus in Linux and Windows, PhD in High-Performance Computing (HPC), senior security & networking engineers who could trouble any networking issues from all layers, database experts across all popular SQL and NoSQL DB engine, and experts in BigData & IoT who could guide customer with implementation experiences.

Job responsibilities:
Cloud Support Engineer is a remote technical support role (NOT call center) who should be an expert in various IT areas and provide timely in-depth troubleshooting advice and architectural best practice to customers via support cases and occasional on-site visits.
We are seeking talented engineers with strong technical knowledge, problem determination skills and troubleshooting experience with Operating system (Linux or Windows), Networking, Database, Big Data and Deployment. If you are highly confidence for your technical expertise in these areas, and want to be one of the very few experts in cloud computing in China, you are the person we are looking for!

- Learn and use groundbreaking technologies
- Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our customers' individual needs
- Interact with leading technologists around the world
- Work directly with solution architects to help reproduce and resolve customer issues

- Drive projects that improve support-related processes and our customers’ technical
support experience
- Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for customer community
- Work on critical, highly complex customer problems that may span multiple cloud services
Basic Qualification
- Strong customer focus
- Must have demonstrated expertise in the below areas:
? Networking (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, VLAN, etc.)
? Systems administration (Linux and/or Windows Servers)
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin
- Open to working shifts (e.g. 7am-4pm or 2pm-11pm or 11pm-7am, Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat)
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Self-starter who is excited about technologies.
Preferred Qualification
- Big Data (Hadoop, Map/Reduce, etc.)
- Databases (MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, etc.)
- Virtualization (OpenStack, Xen, KVM, etc.)
- Programming / scripting (Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, and/or PHP)
- Exposure to Cloud computing
- Exposure to security concepts / best practices
- Expertise with IPsec, VPN, Load Balancing, Iperf, MTR, Routing Protocols, SSH, Network Monitoring / Troubleshooting tools
- Experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications
- Remote technical support or system administrator experience
