Senior Network Engineer

The IT Networking Engineer position is available for the Sycomp Systems Engineering Team Asia Pacific Region based in Shanghai China. The IT Systems Engineer must have broad technical knowledge of Infrastructure solutions and perform basic hardware installations and logical configurations. The IT Systems Engineer will deliver excellent customer service, collaborate with the team using professional written and verbal communication, and demonstrate effective problem determination skills. Work independently and a self-starter a must.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The IT Systems Engineer will perform a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:

· Proficient in Linux and Windows Operating Systems, Network and Storage connectivity, and systems security.

· Proficient in English both written and spoken

· Proficient with Network skills and be able to work on the basic router and a network switch.

· Proficient with server, switch hardware and experience with assembly and integrating the equipment in a staging environment and test for equipment failure etc.

· Experience in problem analysis and resolution of hardware and software problems.

· Rack & stack equipment in a data center setting, troubleshoot hardware related issues. Including strong cabling skills.

· Field support for any equipment failure and it's replacement.

· Deliver quality technical support assistance in a timely manner.

· Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Adhere to the project scope and perform tasks on schedule to meet project completion deadlines.

· Ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction.

· Support Technical Sales as necessary.

Experience

5 year technical experience in an IT or other related field

Must have experience with customers on site

Education

University degree in a related subject or Professional designation

A+, Network+, CCNA or CCNP certifications are a plus

Work Status:

Full time

Travel:

Position requires 25% travel.
