Logistics Manager, China
SCOPE OF JOB
The core duties are to take responsibility for overseeing the change in logistic and supply chain operations in China. Manage logistics activities to support business, cooperating with country merchandiser, retail, finance team and other user departments, working closely with Asia hub to jointly manage logistics flow to stores and constantly improve service level, communicating with corporate logistics team for performance update and project base activities
PURPOSE
To drive logistics service excellence to multiple users in the company with rapid business growth in China market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
? Responsibility for leading all logistic and supply chain activities in China
? Develop an effective and constructive supplier relationship and ensure a long term partnership with strategic service providers is well maintained to support business growth in the region.
? Ensuring compliance with all (logistics) regulatory requirements in China , such as chain of responsibility, dangerous goods legislation, safety regulations, etc
? Management of all shipping, import, export and customs clearance throughout the region, and into/out of the region
? Management of all domestic transportation and distribution activities by all modes of transport, in all forms of storage
? Participation in, and/or management of distribution and network analysis projects, in concert with the global team responsible for this activity
? Communication with other company locations around the world on distribution and shipment coordination
? Planning and management of various logistic budgets in concert with country and business unit supply chain personnel
? Responsibility to drive down costs in logistic cost centres while maintaining and being mindful of customer requirements through appropriate and considered best practices and cost effective programs, such as outsourcing, carrier rationalisation, network rationalisation, backhauling opportunities, systems enhancements and contract negotiations
? Warehouse management in LDC
? Maintaining a system of staff training and improvement to ensure succession planning, career development and professional development in all logistic professional areas
QUALIFICATION
? Fluent English - verbal and written
? Good knowledge of import & export process warehouse management
? Sound computer skills especially for Windows MS office and SAP, strong data analysis skills.
? Open-minded and strong interpersonal skills.
? Excellent communication with business acumen, confident and mature.
? Strong organizing, time management, and project management skills.
? Result driven attitude and ability to work under pressure.
? Willing to learn and adaptive to the environment change.
EXPERIENCE
? University degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, or international business and related.
? Minimum 10 years regional logistics experiences in an MNC environment.
? Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
? Experienced in leading or supporting global or regional strategic project.
Experience with SAP is advantageous
