POSITION REPORTS TO:     AP Demand and Inventory Team Lead, Asia Pacific

SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:

 

AP Inventory planning analyst is responsible for analyze and optimizing inventory in distribution centers in AP in line with target customer service levels. Through a thorough understanding of material planning service objectives and inventory performance metrics, he/she needs to proactively review planning parameters and stock level, take necessary action in advance to rebalance/relocate excess and obsolete, pull in inventory to fill supply gap and work with global planning resource to resolve supply issues relating to all Finished Goods in the distribution center which she/he is responsible for.

 

This position will work very closely with key stakeholders in RA supply chain, especially distributors, customer care, global material planning, finance, suppliers, as well as AP logistics/materials teams.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

1. Proactively monitor inventory level vs. targets, identify excess and obsolescent inventory, and propose and carry out disposition plans as well as inventory pull in plan.

    

2. Understand the logic of inventory planning parameters (e.g. strategy group, safety stock, lot-size, etc.) and the impact of changes. Work and support AP stocking strategy: drive continuous improvement by regular review of performance indicators such as PA utilization and TOCT.

    

    

3. Work with demand planner lead various inventory review and planning process, include: inventory AOP, quarterly inventory forecast, month end inventory review, E&O and aging inventory review and provide causal analysis on discrepancies versus inventory and DOH targets. Closely cooperate with finance team to update inventory quarterly provision for each of the AP plants.

    

4. Have an in depth understanding of Multi-Echlon Inventory Optimization concept, act as MEIO coordinator and analyst to lead monthly MEIO review include: coordinate and gate check MEIO monthly runs

5. Have the ability to make further enhancement proposal to Connect Supply Chain team to link strategic OES objectives to systematic global inventory optimization solutions with dynamic constraints.

    

6. Drive cross functional communication and collaboration of MEIO, provide continual education and awareness across OES enhance process change

    

 

1. Support projects in perspective of AP materials team, initiate data analytical reports to lift the efficiency for doing analyzing work.

 

1. Work with industrialization planners, and global planning resources in product life cycle management to implement plans for new product launch, product series change, or material phase-out.

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field.

2. Broad expertise of material planning. Strong practical experience in procurement and planning will be required. Direct working experience in SAP ECC environment will be a distinct advantage.

3. Strong analytical capabilities, with a basic understanding of statistical analysis techniques.

4. Ability to communicate with people in different function, country or culture, and to establish good and productive working relationships.

5. Strong and independent trouble-shooting skills to investigate and identify causal.

6. APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) desirable

7. Proficiency in English is a must.
