Senior VoIP Engineer

Job description

Voice-over-IP Senior Engineer to provide expert level analysis and day-2 support on Cisco VoIP Solutions.

The VoIP Senior Level 3 Engineer will provide Tier 3 technical support and assistance on all technical issues in regards to Cisco and associated call routing platforms.

The person will be involved into various Project teams. The team covers new solution deployment, POC test, major changes etc. In voice area.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshooting problems and provide solution for issues in timely manner

Technical leader for incidents, diagnosis and determining the most effective way of resolving outages.

Work with Level 2/Level 3 staff and vendors to resolve complex problems.

Lead in testing new tools and developing operational requirements for monitoring

Coordinate testing of installed solution with customer applications

Forward thinking in audit and compliance efforts including risk review

Keep up to date documentation of procedures.

Review projects documentation from project delivery teams

Participate in an On-Call Rota and be ready to support the service during non-business hours

Knowledge Requirements Mandatory:

CCIE Voice or CCIE Collaboration

Skill for analyzing VoIP Protocols: SIP, H323, MGCP, T.38/T.30, Q-SIG, ISDN, SCCP, Trunking, including ISDN and SIP-based services

Experience Requirements

Experience in customer support in a time-critical environment solving time critical production issues and problems

At least 5 years operation experiences with ITIL Management principle

Cisco Experience in managing Enterprise-scale voice deployments on a variety of platforms

Familiarity with Cisco & Lync mixed environment highly desirable

Familiarity with Call Center and Session border Controller highly desirable

Ability to react to a dynamic environment

Strong problem-solving skills and analytical approach

Strong team-player and collaborator

Good English written and spoken
