Description

Reporting to the director of NB Operations engineering, this manager position will be responsible for the factory quality of HP Notebook products and driving ODM process improvement and issues management. Will manage 2-3 teams of talented hardware and software engineering program managers in Shanghai, Kunshan, and Chong Qing, China.

Responsible for:

- Enhance quality of HP products working through HP internal and ODM organizations

- Drive daily, weekly, and monthly engagement with ODMs to resolve process/product issues and drive structural process improvement

- Leads internal/external cross functional Issue Resolution Teams to drive containment, root cause, corrective action, prevention all supply chain factory/field quality

- Define and lead projects to drive systemic process improvements to reduce issue TAT

- Publishes clear, concise, and thorough executive issue summaries

- Establishing & managing ODM failure analysis and engineering capabilities

- Manage factory SW readiness/issues

- Establishing and maintaining key cross-functional internal and external relationships

This position is located in China (Shanghai/Chongquinq)

Qualifications

Education/Experience

-BS degree in an EE/ME

-7+ years of industry experience

-7+ years of project management and team management experience

Skills/Attributes

- Experience with management of contract manufacturers and suppliers

- Solid experience with manufacturing process, factory test and design validation

- Great leadership skills and ability to inspire team members

- Excellent communication - Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience

- Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities

- Teamwork: the candidate must be able to fit in well with a team, understand capabilities and priorities while fostering a collaborative.
